A year of birdwatching

Most of my weekends now go into birdwatching. I borrowed most of the equipment at first. It is slower than buying the finished thing, and that is the point. I changed my mind about this twice. I wrote down what worked and what did not. Keeping a simple log helped more than I expected. More on this later.

Someone at work got me interested in watercolor. I changed my mind about this twice. Mistakes were cheap, so I made many of them. Reading the manual first would have saved me an afternoon. It is slower than buying the finished thing, and that is the point. The first attempts were clumsy, and that was fine. That is all for now.
